Hi! I’m Caroline Barnes, Max Factor’s Make-up Artist. I’m going to give a few tips & tricks on how to make the best of your lashes and freshen up your make-up throughout the day.

So the first complaint I always hear is that our mascara bleeds under the eyes. So what you can do is use a little bit a translucent powder underneath your eyes before you put the Mascara on and that should solve it.

In terms of curling your eye lashes before your mascara bend your lashes just at the root. Hold them for a few seconds looking directly into the mirror. Release very slightly, go up the hair shaft and bend again. This way you get a nice curve of the lash. Secondly, it’s great to use a metal comb, you can use a plastic comb but it just bends against the mascara. Use a wire comb and it’s much better than the plastic, it really breaks through the mascara and gives you length.

At any time, use a little bit of a ‘Soft Pink’ Miracle Touch Creamy Blush just on the apple of your cheeks. It comes out very soft and gives you a boost.

In terms of ‘Lip Gloss’, remember that it does not hydrate your lips. So at lunch time, get rid of the lot, re-moisturise it and apply the ‘Lip Gloss’ again. You’ll find that your lips stay softer for most of the day.
