MASTERPIECE COLOUR PRECISION EYESHADOW

DAY TO NIGHT LOOK

Hi I'm Caroline and this is Simone.

[Caroline and Simone are sitting in a studio with a makeup mirror and lights]

I want to show you how to do a really great Day to Night look – we're creating a soft natural look for the day and then we'll be making it a little stronger for an evening look. It's very simple and very effective.

The first colour I want to show you is Coffee in the Masterpiece Colour Precision Eyeshadow. So I am going to apply the product from the sponge applicator.

[Caroline begins to apply the makeup the model Simone]

Take the product just along the lash line, working the density of colour on this area. Then sweep the product up right into the socket.

[Caroline applies the eyeshadow across the eye lid above the lash line]

The beauty of this product is that it does not dry instantly so you can smudge and blend the shade to achieve a professional looking and soft finish around the eye socket.

[Caroline blends the product using her ring finger to trace along the line of the eye socket]

I love this look as its perfect for an interview or just an everyday look for going to work when you something simple but stylish, this look is beautiful and modern. That is the beauty of using cream eye shadows, they give a lovely soft finish because of the texture.

[The day look is complete and Simone turns to the camera to show off her new look!]

OK so now we're going to turn it into the evening look. We are going to use the Mascara on top and bottom lashes, but first I am just going to use some liquid eye liner in the bed of the lashes. Take the corner of the brush into the corner of the eye and sweep it along the lash line, to thicken up the lashes.

[Caroline applies Masterpiece Glide and Define across the top lash of Simone's eye]

Then add a little bit of mascara just underneath to really open out the eye, but still makes it quite sexy!

[Caroline applies Masterpiece Mascara across the bottom lashes of Simone's eyes]

So all you need in your handbag is your Glide and Define liquid eyeliner, Add that to your day look and instantly you have eyes that are perfect for the night!

70S SAFARI LOOK

OK, so this look is all about the 70's and is Safari inspired, it's more of a trend based look that you may have seen on the catwalks this season. What we are going to illustrate here is how to use two shades of the Masterpiece Colour Precision eye shadow, alot of people think you can only use one shade with cream eye shadows because you can't blend or be technical with it, because the applicators are so great it's really easy to use two colours. I am going to use Masterpiece Colour Precision eye shadows in Coffee and Pearl Beige. I'm going to apply Pearl Beige first, always apply the lightest shade first.

[Caroline starts to apply the eyeshadow into the corner of the eye and across the eye lid above the lash line]

Apply Masterpiece Colour Precision Eyeshadow in Pearl Beige to lid and go right into the inner corner of your eye, this will help to open out the eye. Use the sponge applicator to gently line the eye underneath, the sponge is really soft and won't irritate the eye.

[Caroline starts to apply the eyeshadow into the corner of the eye and continues a thin line under the lower eye lid]

Now we will use the darker colour, with this one we will define the shaping, by painting into the socket – get a lovely half moon shape, and bring it round and across the base of the lash creating a V-shape. Don't worry about it being messy – it's really easy to smudge and blend it through.

[Caroline applies the Coffee eyeshadow across the top of the lid and into the eye socket of Simone, then blends into the socket area with her ring finger]

When the Coffee shade meets the Pearl Beige we get this lovely dimension to the eye that is really shimmery. Again, we do the same with the Coffee shade take it underneath, smudge and blend, you can take it quite low as the effect is really soft – the effect is to widen your eyes. This is a strong look, but the colours stay put and do not smudge [after application] and they are waterproof this look lasts all night.

To complete this look I'm going to add some big fat looking 70's eye lashes, for that I'm going to use Max Factors Masterpiece Max. I am going to apply the mascara to the bottom lash first and you can see how the lashes come alive and waken up the look! Just one coat on the bottom, and one on top.

[Caroline applies Masterpiece Max Mascara across the bottom and top lashes of Simone's eyes]

Such a simple way to create a really dramatic eye, what keeps it modern is that its fresh and shimmery, so your eyes don't look dated or over made up.

SMOKY EYE LOOK

[Caroline and Marlin are sitting in a studio with a makeup mirror and lights]

So now I'm going to show you how to create a really cool smoky eye using Masterpiece Colour Precision Eyeshadow. I love this [shade] because it's like a silvery smoky grey colour. It works perfectly smudged in with a black kohl pencil. It's very sexy and very modern.

[Caroline starts to apply the eyeshadow across the eye lid above the lash line and into the corner of the eye]

We're going to apply the Stardust shade to the eye lid, starting in the inner corner and across the lid. Don't worry about being too precise, as no eyeshadow falls down onto your beautiful base. We do the lovely half moon shape, and blend in into the eye socket area.

[Caroline applies the Stardust shade eyeshadow across the top of the lid and into the eye socket of Marlin, then blends into the socket area with her ring finger]

Just take the applicator under the lashes, along and right to the inner corner of the eye. In the inner corner is where we get a lovely kick of light, that brings out the oval shape of the eye.

To add the drama to the eye, we use a black kohl pencil to the bed of the lashes; take the pencil along the base of the lash line all the way around. With this look you don't have to be too precise, just take your finger and blend it in to the cream eyeshadow. As the eyeshadow dries it all sets together.

[Caroline applies a black kohl pencil along the base of the lash line then blends into the eyeshadow with her finger]

We're going to finish off with False Lash Effect Mascara, this is an obvious choice for this look. Instantly you get these great thick lashes coming out of the smoky eye.

[Caroline applies False Lash Effect Mascara across the bottom and top lashes of Marlin's eye]

Such a simple way to create a smoky eye, if you're working with alot of eye shadows it gets abit messy and abit fiddly, but with these eye shadows it makes everything much easier and much trendier aswell.

COLOUR FLUSH LOOK

Hi I'm Caroline. Now I'm going to show you how to introduce colour into your makeup, it can sometimes be abit difficult, you might find that its a little too strong or it takes over your face abit. But introducing colour into you makeup brightens up and modernises your face. Also when we get to Spring / Summer it is seasonal and feels refreshing to have colour!

This is why I want to use Masterpiece Colour Precision Eyeshadow, because wearing colour is much easier when you're using a cream eyeshadow it gives a softer more feminine approach.

I am going to apply a block colour on Simone; very simply I'm not applying it just to the socket but up to the eyebrow then feather it out. Very simple, just use the applicator and start on the corner of the eye, sweep along in a fan like way across the lid, back over the socket and all the way up to the top. Take a straight line from the inner corner of the eye to the edge of the brow – and sweep it out. Pat the edges with your finger to blend, and that is basically it!

[Caroline applies Masterpiece Colour Precision Eyeshadow across the lid, socket and up to the eyebrow edge – as described]

It's a great way to add colour to your look, it's really cool, but refreshing and modern. I think it looks beautiful.

To finish off I'm going to use Max Factors Masterpiece Max Mascara. I am going to apply the mascara to the top and bottom lashes to make sure the look is balanced. As the colour is strong all the way to the top of the eye lashes, you need to maintain the balance.

[Caroline applies Masterpiece Max Mascara across the bottom and top lashes of Simone's eyes]

The wonderful thing about these eye shadows is that they are completely smudge-proof, so once they've dried they just sit still, they don't move, crease or wear off – which gives you great confidence whilst wearing your makeup that you can strike a look like this, and know it's not going to move! Fantastic!

CLASSIC ROSE LOOK

[Caroline and Simone are sitting in a studio with a makeup mirror and lights]

One of our Max Factor Facebook fans asked me to create them a bridal look; well this is a great wedding look, but it's also a great look for spring / summer for those outdoor country garden parties!

I love the combination of silvery golden colours, matched with pink shades; it's really beautiful very English Rose! So the colours I've selected out of the Masterpiece Colour Precision Eyeshadow range are Icicle Rose and Pearl Beige, I'm going to use these in combination together. Really simple and idiot proof! We'll start with the pink shade Icicle Rose.

[Caroline applies Masterpiece Colour Precision Eyeshadow Icicle Rose across the lid and up into the eye socket]

Take the colour along the lash line, and just up into the socket. Concentrate the colour on the corner of the eye, so you get the lovely highlight that opens out your eye. Up into the socket and tap the edges to blend, so it sinks into the skin and disappears. Take the sponge on the inner corner of the eye and trace it very gently underneath, this helps the shape of the eye – bringing out the almond shape to the eye, very flattering!

[Caroline applies Masterpiece Colour Precision Eyeshadow Icicle Rose as described, and then uses her fingers to blend]

Just for a little twist, I'm going to add some Pearl Beige just in the centre of the eyelid so everytime you open or close your eyes, you get a lovely glimmer of gold and light.

[Caroline applies Masterpiece Colour Precision Eyeshadow Pearl Beige to the centre of Simone's eye lid, and then uses her fingers to blend]

So that's lovely, you get the gold and light, against the pink and with big fat lashes using False Lash Effect Mascara – it's going to be a really beautiful look. So we're going to apply two coats of False Lash Effect Mascara, just on the underneath lashes first. The big brush catches all the lashes really quickly, and you can see the extension and thickness of the lashes, just with one coat.

[Caroline applies False Lash Effect Mascara across the bottom and top lashes of Simone's eye]

The look really comes to life; the metallic shades of the Icicle Rose and the Pearl Beige are really pretty and feminine.

EYES BRIGHT LOOK

Hi I'm Caroline and I've got Ingrid with me. I wanted to demonstrate a couple of little tricks. I often get asked how to brighten up small or deep-set eyes and make dark circles disappear. I want to show you a couple of tricks with two fabulous Colour Precision Eye shadows that I've got – with Coffee and Pearl Beige. It's all about playing with light and dark, these colours are shimmery – which is great because it throws back the light.

Ingrid has a base of foundation on, just before we started.

If you find that are slightly dark at the base and inner corner of the eye, the best way to detract from that (without using a concealer) is to use a bright sparkly eyeshadow just in the corner of your eyes. This throws back the light and distracts from the dark part of the eye.

[Caroline applies Masterpiece Colour Precision Eyeshadow Pearl Beige across the lid and up into the eye socket]

So take the Pearl Beige and sweep it gently across the eyelid, then look straight in the mirror and take it just into the corner and across the base of the lash line. This is very simple and there's no need to blend. That's all you need to do.

To stretch the eyes out, and make them wider – you need to use a dark shade. So here we use the Coffee colour, and paint a V-shape just on the outside of the eye, then along the lash line and up into the outside portion of the socket. Where the two colours meet, you should use your finger to pat them in together. It's a soft subtle effect, so if you're not used to wearing alot of makeup, but want to make a difference with your eyes, apply your eyeshadow like this and you'll find it makes a really big difference.

The mascara I'm going to use is False Lash Effect, I'm using the brown shade to keep it nice and natural. Just extend the brush down the lashes and get into both corners, to make the most of your eyes!

So that's a really natural effect that brings out your natural features. The colour precision eyeshadow has blended in with your skin and looks beautifully natural.
